Glenna was born May 8 th , 1931, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Ernie and Florence Simpson. She was the 2 nd oldest of 4 children. Glenna passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31 st 2024, at Edmond Heath Care Center.

Glenna married Delbert Johnson, in 1946, and raised 2 sons together. They remained married until Delbert's passing in 1987. But Glenna was fortunate to find love again later in life and married Clyde Maker, in 1997, and remained married until Clyde's passing in 2011. Glenna loved the 3 Maker boys and the grandchildren she gained after marrying Clyde. Family was always very important to her.

Glenna had a love for God, her family and was a sports fanatic. She loved to watch Nascar, OU football and had no problem voicing her dislike for Texas an Oklahoma State

Glenna spent most of her career working in retail sales. Later in life she worked for Edmond Public Schools in food services before retiring. Yes, she was a lunch lady!

She was a long-time member of Waterloo Church of the Nazarene, and always considered the church her second home.

Glenna was proceeded in death by parents Ernie and Florence Simpson, husband Delbert Johnson, daughter Romona Ann Johnson, brother Wayne Simpson and husband Clyde Maker.

Glenna is survived by son Dennis Johnson of Edmond, son Gary Johnson and wife Sherri of Edmond, brother Richard Simpson of Guthrie, sister Julie Williams of Guthrie, along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Glenna will forever be missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, February 1st at Matthews Funeral Home.

Memorial services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Febuary 2, 2024 at Waterloo Church of the Nazarene, 457 W Waterloo Rd, Edmond, OK 73025.
