Grady (Corky) Hamilton left his earthly home in Edmond, Oklahoma on February 8, 2022. Destination: His Heavenly Home to spend eternity with Jesus and his true love, Wanda C. (Kear) Hamilton in their mansion in the sky.

Grady was born on December 6, 1929, to Jack and Florence (Burnett) Hamilton in Texline, Texas. He was the youngest of 3 children. His father was a farmer, his mother a homemaker. He attended school in Texline and Prico, Texas (one room schoolhouses) after completing the 8 th grade he went to work and helped out on the farm.

He married Wanda C. Kear on December 10, 1950, in Clayton, New Mexico. They celebrated 70 years of wedded bliss before she preceded him in death on August 16, 2021.

Together they had 4 children. 2 sons, Randall (Charlotte) Hamilton of Marble Falls, TX, Alan (Cindy) Hamilton of Clovis, NM, 2 daughters, Rhonda (Richard) Nixon of Edmond, OK, Connie C. Hamilton of Edmond, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Ed (JE) and sister-in-law Mildred Hamilton. He is survived by his sister Lucille Jones of Amarillo, TX. Grady leaves 6 grandsons and numerous great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He retired in 1992 from Curry County, NM as a Heavy Equipment operator after 21 years of service. He operated a road grater (Grady the Grater). He and Wanda owned and managed several rentals in Clovis, NM. After her retirement they relocated to Edmond, OK in May of 2011, where they continued to enjoy their life and spend time with their daughters.

Services will be held at Vintage Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Waterloo Cemetery Edmond, OK.
