H. Edward "Eddie" Beuchaw

October 4, 1929 – February 7, 2013

H. Edward "Eddie" Beuchaw, of Edmond, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013. Born Oct. 4, 1929 in Oklahoma City to H.G. and Ida Beuchaw, Eddie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn; and their two sons, Brian and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City; and Craig and wife Melody of Edmond. Eddie graduated in 1947 from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, later attending the University of Oklahoma studying interior design before earning an accounting degree from Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City at the age of 50. After working at Liberty Bank, Northwest Bank, and Citicorp in Oklahoma City, Eddie opened his own accounting practice. A longtime member of Village Christian Church in Oklahoma City, he thoroughly enjoyed helping plan "Fabulous 40's" reunions for his high school and reconnecting with classmates. Many new friendships were formed at the Edmond YMCA where he exercised in the early morning hours. He was a talented, creative, people person who wore out his library card reading books, was always cooking or baking, loved going to see a movie at the theater, enjoyed the sounds of the big bands from his era, had so much fun dancing, even tap dancing with Linda Tarpley's Tappers, enjoyed the creative challenge of his painting classes, but was happiest when he was with his family and friends. A celebration of life for this exceptional man will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013, 2pm at Village Christian Church, 9401 Ridgeview Drive, Oklahoma City, OK, 73120. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Village Christian Church.
