Helen Monroe Aanes
April 23, 1939 – January 13, 2023
Helen Monroe Aanes, daughter of Gordon and Grace Winlock, was born April 23, 1939, in Ames, Iowa. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Iowa State University, where she met the love of her life and lifelong partner, Keith Aanes. Helen enjoyed playing bridge, golf and traveling the world. She was a proud Daughter of the American Revolution. Helen was also active in the Edmond Lutheran Church fellowship. Helen's death occurred in Edmond Oklahoma, on Friday the 13th of January 2023. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, with her loved ones by her side. Helen is survived by her two children and their spouses, Christopher (Luckana) Aanes and Eric (Shelley) Aanes of San Carlos, and Kentfield, California respectively, two grandchildren from Eric and Shelley – Sophie and Graham Aanes. She will be dearly missed. There are no services planned at this time.
