Howard Louis McMillan, age 94, of Edmond, Oklahoma, went to be with his forever family on May 30, 2023. Mac was born October 3, 1928 in Marshall, Texas to Lex Oran and Eulal

e Attaway McMillan. He graduated from Norphlet Arkansas High School in 1946 and joined the Marines the day after graduation. He was called to serve in Korea. He then attended the University of Oklahoma and studied Geology prior to beginning his career with Baker Hughes.
He married the love of his life, Carolyn Mead, of 49 years, on October 20, 1973, and his family grew from two to five children. They lived in Odessa, Texas until 1979 before relocating to Edmond, OK where he served as manager for Baker Hughes. Upon retirement, he experimented with his gift of entrepreneurship as he launched Mac's Trading Company in 1994. His business endeavor led him to utilize his gifts of connection with others through providing the best office supplies, parking lot stripes, and extraordinarily beautiful diamonds to many aspiring to propose to the loves of their lives.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ramona Rarden McMillan and son Howard Louis McMillan, Jr. Others who preceded him in death were his parents, brother Lex Oran McMillan Jr, and son-in-law Greg Ownby.
He is survived by his son Michael McMillan and his wife Julie, his daughter Andrea McMillan, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, He is also survived by his bonus children, Todd Mead and Chris Ownby, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. His sister, Emma Catherine McMillan Reynolds, also survives him.
Mac continued to attend Memorial Road Church of Christ, where he and his wife served on the welcome team since joining the church in 1979. A celebration of life service will be held at Memorial Road Church of Christ, located at 2221 E. Memorial Rd., Edmond, Oklahoma at 10:00am on Monday, June 5, 2023, with his bonus son, Todd Mead, officiating.
