Hunter John Catalano

Hunter John Catalano, 17, went to Heaven on September 14, 2026.

Hunter was born on September 30, 2008, to Philip and Shelly Catalano. He was one half of the beloved "Twinkie" duo, as many knew him and his sister, Kiley.

From the very beginning, Hunter blazed his own trail. He entered this world a preemie at only 26 weeks, with a little tug from his sister, of course.

Those who knew Hunter often described him as loving, caring, devoted, hardworking, and a true gentleman. He would spend hours listening to someone talk about life's challenges and then help them find ways to make things better. He would do anything for the people he loved, especially his sister. While Hunter liked everyone to believe he was the tougher half of the duo, the truth is they were equally strong in their own ways. From the start, he was a gentleman, even giving his sister extra room in their mom's tummy.

If you had the privilege of truly knowing Hunter, you were one of the chosen few. He cared so deeply about others that he rarely let people see behind his protective walls. But for those he trusted, there was so much more: a silly side, a softer side, a vulnerable side, and even a little "bou-jee" side.

Hunter was a bright, shining light who touched every life he encountered. His kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Hunter is survived by his parents, Shelly and Philip Catalano; his sister, Kiley Catalano; his grandparents, David and Sandra Drain and John McGrew; and countless family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Waiting to welcome Hunter home were his great-grandparents, Gene and Arlene Drain; his grandmother, Lani McGrew; and his grandfather, Philip Catalano Sr.
