Ian Trevor Ledbetter, 67, most recently of Edmond, Oklahoma, died on November 6th.
He was born in Windsor, England, in 1958 to Sheila and Jack Ledbetter and migrated to the United States soon after. Ian attended school in Pleasant Grove (a self-proclaimed Grove rat), and graduated from H. Grady Spruce in 1976. Eschewing a traditional college education, Ian instead learned from his travels and experiences. He never stopped learning and challenging those around him.
Ian is preceded in death by his parents, Sheila and Jack Ledbetter, and mother of his children Judy Dorman. Ian is survived by brothers Tony and Nick Ledbetter; his daughter Valerie, her husband Howard, and their children Jade, Luke, and Cole; daughter Candyce, her husband Nay III and their children Nay IV, Noah, Eli and Hattie Griffith; and son Dylan Ledbetter, his partner Kiri Gonzales, and their children Anael Reyes and Zachari Stephens.
In honor of his love of nature and in lieu of flowers, especially his two favorite hobbies birdwatching and fishing, donations to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation or Oklahoma Ornithological Society would be appreciated.
