Inez Joan Perry

Inez Joan Perry, 84, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1941, to Richard Raymond and Hazel Candus (Garrett) Halcom.

Inez lived a joyful and spirited life. She loved traveling with her sisters and friends, cherished every moment spent with her family, and especially treasured the lifelong mischief and memories shared with her best friend, Margie Axsom, from Barnsdall, Oklahoma. She also found great joy in her adventures with the ATODS, creating laughter and stories that will be remembered for years to come.

For nearly 50 years, Inez dedicated her professional life to Oklahoma City Abstract & Title Co., where she formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless coworkers and colleagues with her kindness, humor, and unwavering work ethic.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Alene Hazel Halcom; her brother, Billy Ray Dyer; best friend, Wilma Brakkage and other loved ones who greeted her in Heaven.

She is survived by her sister, Colene “Connie” Dixon who says “her beloved sister is the best of the best of us”, son, Jerry Paul Perry; her grandson, Lawton Perry—truly the apple of her eye; her granddaughter, Lindsay Perry; and her great-grand son David Gregor. She leaves behind many cherished family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK 73003. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, also at Matthews Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, Oklahoma.

Inez will be remembered for her laughter, her love for adventure, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
