1953-2021

Janet Ruth DiEnna (Nee: Zeh) was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on August 13 th 1953 to Robert and Margaret Zeh.  She grew up with her sister and brothers in Aston and Gradyville, Pa. Janet graduated with a degree in food and restaurant management from New York University in 1974. She attended culinary school on a scholarship in Leeds, England.  She met Al DiEnna while working at Holiday Inn in Media, Pa. in 1972 and later married in 1973. Janet loved vacationing at the beach in Cape May, NJ, visiting lighthouses, and creative writing. She was passionate about teaching children's Sunday school, cake decorating, sewing, and creating floral arrangements. Janet especially enjoyed teaching her granddaughter Brooke how to make princess doll cakes. She won awards for public speaking as a Distinguished Toastmaster. She served as an officer for several years in Heartland Republican Women. Janet's main ministry was caring for people and sharing God's Word. She would send cards, letters, scriptures, gentle words of encouragement and gifts to children and adults across the country. She was cherished and loved by all who knew her. Her favorite Psalm was 91. Janet's kindred spirit, warm smile, gentle voice and prayers will be greatly missed by all. Janet is survived by her husband Al, son David, daughter Christine, sister, Marge, brother Don, daughter- in- law Katina, son-in-law Daniel, granddaughter Brooke and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held Wednesday May 19 th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5-7, and on Thursday the 20 th from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Janet's life will be Friday, May 21, 2021 at Revive Church in Edmond at 11:00 a.m. The Family would like to invite everyone to a meal following the service.
