Janet Rose Hagy
1952-2022
On the afternoon of April 17, 2022, Janet Hagy of Edmond died at the age of 70.
Janet Rose Hagy, was born to Herman and Katherine Bone in Irondale, MO in 1952. She is one of thirteen children. In May of 1966 she married Paul Hagy and together raised two children, Helen and Paul Jr.
Janet served in the U.S. Air Force as a nurse for 20 years from 1978 to 1998. After she retired from the Air Force, she continued to follow her hobbies which included spending summers with her grandchildren, quilting up beautiful blankets for family members, cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals, and looking for bargains at Saturday morning garage sales.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Paul, father, Herman, her mother, Katherine, and her brothers, Leon and Kenneth. She is survived by her siblings, Marie, Richard, Cecil, Leroy, James, Kathy, Edna, Karen, Sharon and Kimberly and their families, her 2 children, daughter Helen and husband Randy, and son Paul Jr., her grandkids Sara, Timothy, Kendra, Christyna, Leanna, Troy, Tiffany, Paula, and Magan as well as several great grandchildren and other cousins, family, and friends.
A public memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on April 25, 2022 at Matthews Funeral Home located at 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK 73003.
