Jarvis R. Dennis
June 3, 1931 – January 28, 2014
Jarvis Reid (J.R.) Dennis, 82, graduated this life on January 28th, 2014. Born in Ennis, Texas in 1931, Jarvis spent most of his career at TG&Y and Jacks Service Company. Most notably, though, Jarvis was a follower of Jesus and the devoted and loving leader of his family. And he was a beloved member of New Covenant United Methodist Church. Jarvis was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lennie Mae and Douglas Dennis, and in-laws, Vada and Marvin White.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Sissy) Dennis, Daughters Linda Cloud and Catherine Hoffman and her husband Tom; Grandchildren Keri Cloud and Kim and Brad Bandy, and great-grandchildren Layne and Liv. Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 31st at 2:00p.m. at New Covenant United Methodist Church.
