Born June 15, 1974, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Kathryn Kennedy and his father, Kurtis Kennedy. Jason shared a meaningful bond with his stepfather, Eddie Snyder, who played an important role in his life. He is survived by his brother Wesley Kennedy, sister-in-law Jennifer Kennedy, nephew Dillon Kennedy, and best friend Tyler Eggleston and family.
He attended school in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he developed many of the passions that would shape his life. After graduating, Jason began his career with one of his greatest inspirations—Disney. His time with Disney reflected his creativity, joy, and commitment to excellence.
Later, he brought that same dedication to the University of Central Oklahoma, where he served as Director of UCO Food Services. Jason was not only an amazing chef but also someone who believed deeply in the joy of bringing people together through food. He poured his heart into every meal and found purpose in serving others.
Jason was especially close to his nephew Tyler Eggleston and niece Sage Mills, who brought him great pride and happiness throughout his life.
He departed this life on June 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and generosity. Jason will be remembered for his incredible talent, his deep love for family, and his unwavering passion for the art of cooking.
Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma.
