Jayne Ann Patterson

Jayne Ann Mayo Patterson was born on March 26, 1943 to Bonnie and Emmert Mayo in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Jayne was blessed with two older siblings, Patsy Charvoz and Gene Mayo. When Jayne was a child, her family loved visiting Colorado. In 1955, her father bought a small piece of land, next to Cebolla Creek in a heavenly place known as Powderhorn, Colorado. Jayne spent many summers at her family cabin going to the resort and making friends with the kids in the Valley.

Upon graduation from Chickasha High School, Jayne attended the University of Oklahoma for three years. In February 1964, Jayne married James Coil. They were blessed with two sons, Jeff and Mike. Jayne worked in Procurement at Tinker AFB for many years.

On January 6, 1984, Jayne married Jasper Patterson. Together they combined a family of five boys. Jayne welcomed Ken Patterson and Mark and Jeff Livingston into her life and into her heart. Jayne and Jasper spent many summers traveling in their RV with their friends Bob and Bridget. They also spent time in Powderhorn at the cabin and welcomed family to come and visit. Jayne was an avid fisherwoman who also loved to cross stitch and sew crafts. Upon Jasper’s death, Jayne moved to Edmond to be closer to her family.

Jayne is survived by her son Jeff and his wife Rebecca, her granddaughter, Braxton Coil, Grandson Cooper Coil and his wife Billi and their daughter Emery. Her son Mike and his wife Dava. Stepsons Ken Patterson and wife Monica, Jeff Livingston and wife Lisa, Mark Livingston and wife Heather. Many beautiful step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jayne is also survived by niece Karen Mayo and family and nephews, Larry Charvoz and David Charvoz and their families. Jayne was always so appreciative of the love and care her great nephew, Ryan Allbrecht, took of the cabin.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents Bonnie and Emmert, her brother Gene Mayo, and sister Patsy Charvoz. As well as her beloved husband Jasper Patterson.

Jayne was a two-time cancer survivor and would be honored for any donation made to the American Cancer Society.

A funeral service to celebrate Jayne's life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 26, 2026 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, Edmond, Oklahoma. To view a live stream of this service please CLICK HERE. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to the service start time.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 29, 2026 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
