Jeanne Armstead Bogan Rhody

Jeanne Armstead Bogan Rhody, 97, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on August 16th, 2025. She was born on October 13th, 1927, in Hartford City, Indiana.

In 1945, she married Donnell Rhody in Knox, Indiana. They were married 65 years at the time of his passing. She attended Knox High School, DePaul University, and the University of Indiana.

Don and Jeanne had four children, Craig T. Rhody, Stephen C. Rhody, Donnell Michael Rhody, and Lynne Rhody Alexander. Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had a full, long life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was a strong Christian, and when she was no longer able to attend church, she watched sermons on television every Sunday. She loved traveling, decorating, golf, family, P.E.O., and anything blue.

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Rhody Alexander, 8 grandchildren, Jeannie LeBlanc, Julie LeBlanc, Janna Koehn and her husband Josh Koehn, Jill Hodges and her husband Justin Hodges, Jacey Massey and her husband Cort Massey, Michael Rhody, Stephen Rhody, and Shannon Rhody. In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her 14 great-grandchildren, Kamber LeBlanc, Korbyn LeBlanc, Hunter LeBlanc, Teagen LeBlanc, Drake LeBlanc, Brinklee LeBlanc, Kate Koehn, Preston Hodges, Gage Massey, Keaton Hodges, Hazel Koehn, Cale Massey, Deacon Hodges, and Poppey LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnell Rhody; sons, Craig T. Rhody, Stephen C. Rhody, and Donnell Michael Rhody; her brother, Weldon Taggert Bogan; and her parents, Harriet and Weldon Bogan.

The memorial service will be at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, 601 S. Kelly Ave, Edmond, OK, 73003, on Thursday, August 21st , 2025 beginning at 2:00pm.

The burial service will be at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX, 75243 on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, beginning at 1:00pm.
