Jeffrey Aaron Eilerts

1975-2018

Jeffrey "Jeff" Aaron Eilerts, 43, passed away on August 2, 2018. A loving husband and father, Jeff was successful in business, had a generous soul who put family first and was full of personality.

Jeff was born to Gene and Christine Eilerts on January 22, 1975 in Newton, KS. His family later moved to Tulsa, OK, where he grew up participating in sports and was an accomplished athlete in high school. After graduating from Union High School, Jeff graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 with a degree in business administration – finance.

At OU, Jeff met the love of his life, Tiffany Yates, and they married on July 22, 2000. They started their journey in Oklahoma City and eventually settled into the home they built together in Arcadia, OK. Jeff and Tiffany were best friends and enjoyed a happy life together surrounded by family, friends and most importantly, their two daughters, Ashlyn and Tatum.

Jeff's high energy and fun-loving presence filled every room he entered. His contagious smile, wit and fearlessness were just a few of the qualities for which he was known among family, friends and colleagues. In addition, he had high standards and this was evident in his pristine yard and outdoor space. The regular use of his trusty blower to keep the patio and pavement outside of his home clear of debris at all times became a running family joke.

In addition to working in the yard, Jeff loved sports and was often found cheering on his favorite teams – the OU Sooners, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed a decade-long career in medical device sales, most recently as the Senior Territory Manager at Terumo, where he earned top sales awards, including the President's Club.

Of the many achievements throughout his life, Jeff was most proud of his daughters. A devoted father, he doted on them and beamed with pride at their many accomplishments. He loved attending their activities, taking them tubing during regular family visits to Lake Eufaula and spending time together outdoors. Leading by example, Jeff instilled an amazing work ethic and the importance of family in his girls- two everlasting traits they'll always carry with them.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Gene Eilerts, and father-in-law, Mike Yates. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 18 years, Tiffany Eilerts, and their daughters, Ashlyn and Tatum, of the home; mother, Christine Eilerts, of Edmond; brother, Joel and his wife Courtney Eilerts, and their children Taylor and Barrett of San Diego; mother-in-law, Carol Yates, of Edmond; sister-in-law, Kelly Yates, of Tulsa; sister-in-law, Kristi and husband Dan Cadenhead, and their sons, Hudson and Landon, of Plano; and many other family members and close friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Jeff's life on August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Covenant United Methodist Church of Edmond.
