Jeffrey Hamilton "Jeff" London
1984-2018
Jeffrey Hamilton ("Jeff") London, our great adventurer, started his journey on November 6, 1984 in Oklahoma City. The youngest of three sons of Phyllis (Hamilton) and Earl London, his lighthearted and free spirit was apparent from a very young age. He grew up in Edmond and attended Edmond Public Schools, graduating from Edmond North High School in 2003. Upon graduation, he followed in his grandfather's footsteps by joining the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He served honorably for six years, including a tour on active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006 and 2007.
Jeff then returned home and enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned his bachelor's degree in geography. In 2013 Jeff concluded his academic adventures and embarked on a more rugged one with a two-month solo canoe trip down the entire Mississippi River. He returned home and settled in the Paseo District of Oklahoma City to be close to his numerous friends and fellow adventurers. He sought and maintained strong friendships with people from all walks of life, and all valued Jeff for his smile, generosity, and kindness. Without hesitation, Jeff would fulfill whatever requests or needs his friends had.
He was ordained as a wedding officiant and performed numerous weddings. Jeff was a reliable dog uncle, house sitter, and provided hours of entertainment free of charge.
Jeff is survived by his mother Phyllis Johns and her husband Mark, his father Earl London and his wife Tonja, brother Aaron and his wife Sarah and their two sons, brother Toby and his wife Danielle, grandmother Lois London, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
His new adventures in heaven began on February 25, 2018. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2 at Waterloo Church of the Nazarene, interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
