Jo Beryl Best
1933-2012
Jo Beryl Best, 79 of Edmond, was born August 6, 1933 in Geary, Okla.to Isaac and Violet Long. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1950. She married Oscar G. Best on June 14, 1951. They moved to Edmond in 1961. Was a lifelong employee of the Edmond School System starting out as a cook at Orvis Risner, then to Russell Dougherty where she was the Administrative Assistant to the Principal. From there she moved to Cross Timbers and retired from there. Jo and Oscar enjoyed their grandchildren, and going to their sporting events and also loved to go to Lake Texoma where they had a cabin. She loved to cook and will be missed by all. Jo passed away on December 4, 2012 in Okla. City. Her survivors include; Sons and daughter in laws, David and wife Jill Best, Danny and wife MarySue Best, Jeff and wife Luisa Best, Brad and wife Diana Best. Along with six grandchildren, Angie, Andy, Kelby, Ericka, Parker, Gavin and four great grandchildren, Jared, Hunter, Peyton and Pierce. Brothers, Wayne and Jack and sisters, LeJoy, Hope and Charlotte. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband and brother, Dareward.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 8, 2012 at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
