It is with hearts overflowing and with much love, l, announce that Jo Marie Phillips is now eternally at rest on August 6, 2026, at the remarkable age of 95 years young! Her beautiful journey began on November 2, 1930, in the charming town of West Haven, Connecticut , where she blossomed as the radiant daughter of Celestino and Catherine (Filardi) La Torre.

Jo Marie's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of endless love, unwavering devotion, and incredible warmth . She truly was a guiding Star, a devoted soulmate to her cherished late husband, Kenneth E. Phillips, an adored sister, and a loyal, steadfast friend to countless hearts. Her vibrant spirit, overflowing with boundless kindness, infectious joy and an unbelievably generous heart illuminated every room and left an indelible, sparkling mark on all our lives.

Her luminous legacy shines brightly through her loving sisters, Carm Antonucci, Ann Carbone and her dear brother, Bud La Torre. We take comfort in knowing Jo Marie is now joyfully reunited with her beloved sisters who journeyed before her: eldest sister Betty, Rose Ushchack and, Marie Fattore, embracing them in heaven's golden gate.

The void left by her vibrant presence will be deeply, deeply felt by her adoring family and her vast galaxy of friends . We'll miss her radiant smile and loving spirit every single day.

To honor and celebrate Jo Marie's truly magnificent life and spirit, we invite you to join us for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
