Our beloved JoAnn K. Bronstad, born March 15, 1944, in Detroit Michigan, went to be with our Lord and Savior August 31, 2024.

At age 11 JoAnn moved to Denton, Texas. She spent her childhood years in Denton and graduated from Denton High School in 1962. (She was a proud member of the Bronco Babes.) At the young age of 19 she got married and soon after moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where she raised her family and resided until death. In Edmond she worked for the city and state in many capacities. JoAnn worked for the Chamber of Commerce for multiple years, assisting new business for the city's growth. JoAnn also worked for the District Attorney's office for many years. Her proudest accomplishments include helping establish and run the Oklahoma City Drug Court where she helped hundreds of people with their addictions. In retirement she continued her passion by helping additional drug courts to be set up all over the state of Oklahoma.

JoAnn was loved by so many, her compassion for people was inspiring. Her gregarious personality acquired her a multitude of friends and relationships. She was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, being a fundamental participant in the start up of their new and existing church. Her love for our Lord was a huge part of her life. She was loved so much by all who knew her. Her devotion for her immediate family and children was unconditional.

She is survived by her son David Bronstad, grandson Griffin, and granddaughter Grace; brother Ron Griffin, sister-in-law Mari, nieces Lindsey, Ali, Courtney and Kendra; brother-in-law Mark Roemer, nieces Kerri, Kristi, and nephew Brad. She is preceded in death by her father J.D. Griffin, mother Eileen Griffin, sister Sharon Roemer and son Jason.

We will miss her every day and will always hold her close in our hearts.
