JoAnn Deppe

1948 – 2020

JoAnn Deppe passed away on February 3, 2021 in OKC after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's.  She was 72 years old.

JoAnn was born on April 14,1948 in Canton, IL to Elmer and Elnora Fitzpatrick.  After graduating from Farmington High School, she married Glenn D Deppe on September 23,1967.  They enjoyed 47 years of marriage before Glenn's death in 2015.

Upon marriage, JoAnn joined the Methodist faith and remained an ardent believer till her death.  Her final church home was at the First United Methodist Church of Edmond where she was part of the Good News Sunday School Class and Senior Connection.

JoAnn entered the workforce as a teller at her local bank, but she became a home maker after giving birth to two children, Bradley and Nancy.  She did return to the work force, when her children were grown, working as a medical administrator at the Oklahoma Lithotripsy Center and for two primary car physicians in Edmond.

Above all, Joann had a deep love for family and friends.  She was always willing to provide support, a helping hand, or a little humor.

JoAnn is survived by her two children, Brad and Nancy; her brother Ken Fitzpatrick and his wife Beth; a brother-in-law Scott Deppe and his wife Jane; and four nephews- Chris, Michael, Craig, and Jon.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association.

We will be live streaming this service in an effort to accommodate those people that wish to attend but feel they should not due to health regulations.  To watch the service CLICK HERE to go to our YouTube page. Click on 'Videos', then 'Live Streams'.
