John Franklin Johnson

John Franklin Johnson, age 90, passed away September 24, 2018. His family was with him in the home as he slipped quietly away to be with the Lord. He was born in Edmond, OK on August 21,1928, to William and Esther Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Johnson. Siblings include Margie Miner and husband, Darrell (deceased), Pauline and Sherman Kitchell, Norma Wallace, and Edward (deceased) and wife, Florine Johnson. His surviving family members include James and wife, Debbie, Mark and wife, Marcia, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He earned a bachelor's degree from OSU, and taught at OKC Public Schools and Moore Norman Vo Tech. He served the Church of the Nazarene in many capacities. He was an avid gardener, golfer, and fisherman. The funeral will be held at the Edmond 1st Church of the Nazarene on Friday, September 28th, 2:00 PM, with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery.
