John David Hollingsworth, 81, of Edmond, Oklahoma was born October 15, 1934 in Norman, Oklahoma to Curtis and Eula (Lane) Hollingsworth. He graduated from Norman High School and then went on to earn his undergraduate in Education and Masters degree from East Central. He was a school superintendent in Oklahoma and he served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. John passed away on May 7, 2016 in Lewisville, Texas.
His survivors include his twin daughters, Tamara Lynn and Margaret Ann, 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
His wife Jo Ann precedes him in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday May 13, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home-Edmond.
