Johnny Lee Gwin
1943-2022
Johnny Lee Gwin passed away on March 22nd, 2022, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with cancer. His positive outlook on life was unwavering and his willingness to make others laugh and smile never diminished. He was always the light of any room and his memory will continue to shine bright.
Johnny was born in Seattle, WA on July 20th, 1943 to Charlie and Mildred Gwin. His family moved to Le Flore, OK shortly after and Le Flore has always held a special place in his heart. His passion and willingness to give developed the place we all enjoy today.
He married Nancy Darlene Martin on July 19, 1962 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Together they founded a glass company, where he developed a very successful business, while still always making his family a priority. He enjoyed nothing more than a good BBQ with all of his family together.
He leaves a strong family tree with many branches. He is survived by his sisters Judy Yates, Debrea Bohannon, Phyllis Rouzer and Martha Reddin; five brothers, Frankie, Johnny, David, Roger and Randy Gwin; Children Carl, Lisa, Calvin, Nancy and Dustin; Grandchildren Westley, Colton, Caleb, Ethan, Amanda, Brian, Bradley, Brayden, Christopher, Christina and Carl; Great Grandchildren Cloey, Timber, Blaine, Ethan, Addison, Bailey, Paisley, Liam, Maribel, Igor and Jackie.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
