Joseph Wonjin Kim

Joseph “Joe” Kim, age 33, passed away on November 21, 2025. Born with a warm and generous heart, Joe lived his life caring deeply for the people he loved. He was a compassionate son, brother, and friend who consistently put others before himself. Thoughtful and meticulous, he planned ahead in everything he did, always hoping to spare those around him from any worry or disappointment. Joe studied business in college and went on to work for both AT&T and Progressive Insurance. Outside of work, he found joy in playing the guitar and often performed at college student group events, sharing his talent and uplifting spirit with others. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Soomi Kim, who cherished him with all her heart and prayed for him to grow in faith; his father, Ted Kim, who encouraged him to be strong and resilient through life’s hardships; and his brother, Wonkun Kim, who always tried to be a good friend and companion to Joe. Joe had a deep and devoted love for his family. He cared for his parents with unwavering dedication, especially during times of illness, always responding to their needs without hesitation. His family finds comfort in their faith, believing that Joe is now in the loving arms of Jesus in heaven. They imagine Jesus welcoming him tenderly, saying: “You did a great job in the world. Now rest in my arms without sorrow. Your mother and father will one day be with you again to continue a joyful, heavenly life.” Amen.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
