Joseph Paul Mandrino

Joseph Paul Mandrino – son of God, loving husband of 63 years, devoted caring father of 6 children, grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 10, pastor, missionary, proud veteran and citizen traded his Edmond, Oklahoma residence for his heavenly home on early Friday morning, September 25th, 2020. He is preceded by parents Joseph Mandrino and Wanda "Helen" Waytalak and eldest brother, Richard Mandrino. He is survived by siblings: Russell Mandrino, Joyce Sparacio, and Peter Mandrino. Also, by his loving and faithful wife, Millicent Beverly Mandrino, his children: Joseph John Mandrino, Steven William Mandrino, Christopher David Mandrino, Denise Marie Solimano, Mark Timothy Mandrino, Caleb Paul Mandrino and their spouses, in addition to his grand and great-grandchildren and the many souls he lead to the Savior, those he discipled and taught the Word of God, and brothers and sisters in-Christ. He was a proud veteran with 7 years in the U.S. Air Force and with sales and management experience afterward. If he were to tell you of the most significant day in life, he would share his testimony of how on March 29th, 1970 he and his wife kneeled at about midnight on Easter's Eve and asked Christ to be their Savior. This one moment defined life and a new beginning! Off to Bible College in a year, afterwards graduating from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Gathering supporting churches and finances to go to Singapore – he pastored Singapore Bible Baptist Church and grew the work. Teaching and building, the church still remains and has branched out to new works and locations today. Then on to Macau, China where he started Bordergate Baptist Church. Winning souls and teaching the Word, the work grew, thrived and remains. Then to the Philippines, he answered the call to please share the Gospel there and built churches that today continue to bear fruit. His heart was always about lost people and winning them through missions. He pastored Edmond Road Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma from late 1997 until April 2014. Those who knew him were sure to hear him share our Lord and his story of all God had done and was doing in his life. He knew about Joy. Jesus, others and then you. He loved his wife, family, horses, his boots, accessories and will be so very missed.
