Joy Lou Hall Mansfield, age 89, of Edmond, OK went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025. She was born in Okemah, OK to M. Ben Hall and Lena Maloy Hall.
She loved the Lord deeply and lived as an example of his grace. Whether through quiet acts of kindness or her presence in church and community, she reflected God’s love daily.
Joy was known for her gifts in the kitchen. Cooking was one of her greatest passions and also her way of expressing her love. Friends and family will always remember her for her chocolate chip cookies.
Above all, Joy cherished her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon Christie (Carl Leon), Barbara Reed (Jim) and Tina Mansfield and son, Bruce Whitfield. She had five grandchildren: Carrie, Joanna, Benjamin, Rachel, and Jeffrey, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, adoring husband, Billy, daughter Dolly Mansfield and cherished brothers, Van Rhea Hall and Noel Bryan Hall.
As Joy wished, her interment will be simple with a graveside service officiated by her longtime friend, Ken Jerrnigan. Prayers and bible verse will be led by Les Little.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Edmond Church of Christ that was her place of peace and comfort for over 45 years.
“Here children raise up and call her blessed; her husband also, praises her.: Proverbs 31:28
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
