Joyce Ann McBride
March 16, 1934 – April 16, 2015
Joyce Ann Warren McBride (March 16, 1934-April 16, 2015) was the second child born to Clarence Burton Warren and Aline Mattie Helton Warren. She grew up in Cowan, Tennessee and attended David Lipscomb where she completed a double major in Elementary Education and Home Economics. She married Bailey McBride on April 28, 1956. Since Joyce was a college student she has been dedicated to helping children learn about God through stories in His Word. As the McBride children married, Joyce and Bailey began to travel which became a passion for them both. Joyce is survived by her husband Bailey, three children Melissa Roe (Phil), Lynette Brown (Pat) and Michael McBride (Karen), eight grandchildren: Jennifer Thurman (Joe), Luke Roe (Rachel), Savanna Millikan (James), Kailey King (Josh), Brady McBride, Ashlyn Brown, Connor McBride and Garrett McBride and 2 great grandchildren: Emma Roe and Amos Millikan. Joyce loved us all so well. She was a friend to everyone and always believed we were better than we really were. She introduced so many to Jesus and modeled service and love every day of her life. She adored her family and her sweet husband. Well done good and faithful servant. We celebrate her sweet life and her victory.
The family will greet friends from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at Matthews Funeral Home with a Memorial service to be held on Sunday April 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Road Church of Christ.
