Judith L. Hicks

Judith (Judy) Lee Hicks (Dunham) age 80, of Edmond, OK went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Judy was born in OKC in September 1945, daughter of the late Henry and Lucia Dunham. She graduated from NW Classen in 1963 and graduated from OSU. Over her lifetime, Judy lived in OH, NC and in El Reno, Chickasha, Kingston, Mustang, OKC and Edmond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Nelson of Lusby MD, her husband Robert J Hicks of Rush Springs, OK and her daughter, Julie Davis of Edmond, OK. Judy is survived by her daughter Shelley Bailey and granddaughter, Brooke Bailey of Edmond, OK.

Judy lived a full life and loved travelling. She visited most of the US, several countries and islands with family and friends. She loved watching OSU Cowboys football and the OKC Thunder. She was generous and made everything special. We have many memories of laughter. The kind where you can’t stop. We love and miss her greatly.

The family would like to thank the incredible people of Bristol Hospice OKC, The Veraden, the ER and 5th floor medical team at Integris-Edmond and our friends and family for the support and helping to make her last days comfortable.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. 

Family will be present for a come and go visitation to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
