1950 – 2023
Judith (Judi) Ann Van Vuren, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on October 13, 2023, with her husband and two sons by her side. Judith was born on January 10, 1950, in Oak Park, IL to Theodore and Grace Lindemulder. She married Robert (Bob) Van Vuren on February 25, 1972.
Judi was a woman of great faith in God and family. Her zest for life and competitive spirit made her an inspiration to all of her family. Judi's greatest joy in life was being a grandma. She loved her grandchildren dearly and traveled with Bob to many games and events to watch them participate.
Judi grew up in Evergreen Park, IL, and moved to Scottsdale, AZ, after she and Bob were married in 1972. In 1974, they moved to Newton, KS. Judi developed a love for art and painting when working for the Society of Decorative Painters. She loved painting and was a talented artist. In 1995, Bob and Judi began a new adventure and moved to Thompsons Station, TN. After Judi retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2013, she and Bob moved to Guthrie, OK, to be closer to family. She continued to enjoy crafting and creating keepsakes for others.
Judi is survived by her loving husband, Bob Van Vuren, sons Kane (Dawn) and Daniel (Tracie), and grandchildren Cole, Grant, and Sofia Van Vuren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Judi Van Vuren may be made to the BritVil Food Pantry at 8717 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73114, Where Bob and Judi volunteered.
A Celebration of Judi's life will be held on Friday, October 20th at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel at Crossings Community Church, 14600 Portland Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73013.
