Judy Ann Landis
1943-2022
Judy Ann Landis, 79, of Edmond went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2022. She was born to George and Irene Gray in Wichita, Kansas on March 2, 1943. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, George, and her only daughter, Leslie Landis. She is survived by her sons Todd (Christi) Landis and Tim (Michelle) Landis both of Edmond. Grandchildren Jonathan Young, Austin (Jordyn) Landis, Shelby (Grant) McCollom, Tristan (Michael) O'Hara, Eric Landis and Taylor Landis (fiancée Leya Mohammed). Great grandchildren, Amelia, Maggie and Heath. Several nieces and nephews and many life long friends.
Judy is also survived by her one true lifelong love, Jon Landis. Jon and Judy met while working at Rothschild's department store. Their marriage of 61 years kept the ultimate promise of until death do us part. Jon was always proud of how beautiful Judy was inside and out. She was a dedicated and loyal wife. They enjoyed traveling together both near and far. Trips could be as simple as a weekend at the lake or as exciting as a jaunt across many countries in Europe with friends.
She was a loving Mother. She doted on her two boys and saw her adult daughter through a cruel illness serving as her primary caregiver until Leslie's passing in 2010. It brings her family great comfort to know that Judy and Leslie are reunited and made new. She was proud of each and every one of her grandchildren and was thrilled every time she spent time with them.
Anyone who knew Judy recognized her unlimited capacity for genuine kindness. She was full of gratitude, love and compassion for each of us. Her passing leaves this world a little darker and colder without her in it.
We will celebrate Judy's life at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, OK.
Judy loved animals and her church family. We would love you to honor her with a donation to your favorite rescue or shelter or to St. Luke's United Methodist Church in her name.
