Julia Earlene Brower
1929 – 2020
Julia Earlene Brower was born on January 2, 1929, in Lometa, Texas, to her parents Nathan Earl and Lillie Mae Daughety, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to William Jake Brower who preceded her in death. Earlene is survived by her sister, Lillie Belle Upchurch; son, Doug Brower and wife, Loretta; daughter Linda Coleman and husband, Jim; six grandchildren: Stephen Brower(Michelle), Wade Brower, Glenda Reagan(Chris), Julie Dearborn, Marla Cook, and Leisha Dowers (Scott); nine great-grandchildren: Gray, Logan, and Kendall Brower, Audrey Carlson, Sage, Luke, Anneke, Elijah Dearborn, and Daphne Cook. Earlene retired from USAF Civil Service at Kelly AFB, San Antonio, Texas after which she and Jake moved to Rockport, Texas where the Brower family had vacationed for many years. Earlene joined other local women in providing funding for the Aransas County Emergency Services by creating handmade craft items sold in their gift shop. Among other items, two ambulances were donated from the proceeds of their sales. After living on the Texas coast for 25 years, Jake and Earlene moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be closer to family and became members of the Memorial Road Church of Christ. Earlene's last residence was at Bradford Village where she had many friends among residents and staff. The family wishes to express thanks to the Bradford Village staff for years of exceptional, professional, and loving care. Services will be Friday Jan 24 th at 1:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
