A very special man, Junior Dean Ford, left this life March 14, 2013. He was born January 31, 1921, in Harper, KS, to Addie O. and Reece M. Ford. He was the oldest son followed by three sisters; Betty Sue (Addy), Billie Ruth (Harvey) & Jo Marie (Miller). Jo Marie, Elkart, KS, is the only surviving sibling. J.D. grew up in Guymon, OK and served in the Army Air Corp from 1941 – 1945. Upon returning to the states, he married Phyllis L. Fuller in Sacramento, CA. They made their home in Guymon where they reared their two children. J.D. was a Ford/Mercury dealer, in partnership with his father and Ralph Brown, for 31 years. He then served as a loan officer in the First National Bank of Guymon for another 20 years. Phyllis and J.D. retired to Edmond, OK in 1995 in order to be closer to their children and grandchildren – the light of their lives. He was a hunter, an avid fisherman, and loved his golf. He was a faithful, life-long member of the Church of Christ serving as an elder for a number of years. J.D. & Phyllis were blessed with two children: Richard D. Ford (April) of Edmond, OK and Gay L. Dillman (Bob) of Houston, TX, five grandchildren; Meagan Begin (Eric) of Bixby, OK, Matthew Ford (Paula) of Edmond, OK, Carrie Cutshall (McKenzie), of Edmond, OK, Craig Dillman, (Betsy) of Houston, TX & Douglas Dillman, of Austin, TX. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31.
