Kathleen Ann Schneider

Oklahoma City

Kathleen Ann (Tillinger) Schneider was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 24, 1942, and passed away on March 19, 2026. “Kathy” was a strong-willed woman with a zest for life and loved being in company with her family and friends.

Kathy was the oldest daughter to parents, Joe and Kathleen (Kitty) Tillinger. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings, Bunny, Joe, Billy, and Susie.

Kathy married her high school sweetheart, Herman on September 2, 1961. Herman passed away on November 3, 2010. Kathy is survived by her seven children, Herman (Theresa); Kathleen Mattice (fiancé Mike Sonoc, children Travis, Ashley (Quinton), and great-granddaughter, Adeline); Rena Goins (children, Keidan and Bridget); Eugene (Rosie); Andrew (Angie, children Colton [deceased], and Layton); Joseph (Wendy and children Emily, Aubrey, and Caleb); and Valerie Earl (Brandon, children Taylor, Layla, and Breckin).

Kathy & Herman raised their children in Hazel Park and Washington, Michigan. She loved bingo, bowling, casinos, and spending time with family. Kathy regularly hosted the family Christmas party in her home as a way to keep the aunts, uncles, and cousins all connected.

In 2011, Kathy moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, and most recently made her home at Town Village, a retirement community in Oklahoma City. She embraced life there wholeheartedly, taking part in everything from outings and bingo to card games, especially her favorite, the nickel nickel dice game.

Kathy’s spunk and strong personality will be greatly missed. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grand child.

Kathy was a follower of Jesus Christ and openly professed her faith. She was looking forward to her time in heaven to be united with her loved ones again. Her daily routine consisted of openly praying for her family and reciting her rosary.

A celebration of life will be held in Kathy’s honor at a later date to be determined.
