Kenneth Francis Landry, Jr.

1956-2014

Kenneth F. Landry, Jr., petroleum landman, died in Christ on February 12, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 7, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK to Kenneth F. Landry, Sr. and June (Dickey) Landry.

Ken was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, June Morris; two sisters, Laurie Willis & husband, Eddie of Edmond, OK and Jan Snedegar & husband, John of Laguna Beach, CA; his nieces, Janie Willis Skirlock & husband, Gabe, as well as their son, James and Gracie & Francie Snedegar; his nephews, Christopher & Brandt Willis and John Snedegar.

Ken will be remembered for his loyalty & commitment to friendship and his ability to establish and maintain relationships. He had a positive, cheerful, fun loving spirit and he was incredibly resilient throughout life's vicissitudes. Ken was fearless and loved racing motor cycles. He could "wheelie" any size cycle for blocks! He also had the second fastest car at John Marshall High School at the end of the muscle car era.

Profound gratitude goes out to his wonderful caregivers at Willow Creek and Companion Hospice, Jane & Travis Elkins, Darla Haney and innumerable friends, too numerous to mention; you know who you are and we love & thank you. God's grace was truly manifested by the selfless compassion these people have shown.

Ken loved and volunteered at the Coffee Creek Riding Center for the Handicapped; therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's name to 17 E. Coffee Creek, Edmond, OK 73034. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Crossings Community Church Chapel (14600 N. Portland, Oklahoma City, OK).

Most of all we wish to honor Jesus Christ who gives us the victory:

"Death where is thy sting, O' grave where is thy victory."

Selected services were under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Edmond, OK.
