January 4, 1952 – June 1, 2024

Kurt was born in Edmond, OK.  He passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer at 72 years of age.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Gerald and Beth Kennedy of Edmond, OK.  He is survived by his oldest son Wes and wife Jennifer Kennedy, their son Dillon Kennedy, and Kurt's youngest son Jason Kennedy all of Edmond, OK.

Kurt is also survived by brothers Mark and wife Kathy Kennedy of Edmond, OK and Alan and wife Cheryl Kennedy of Lytle, TX.  Kurt has numerous nephews and nieces.

Kurt was an Edmond High School graduate where he was a member of the Memorial band.  After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1971.  He served honorably in the Seabees.  He took great pride in his service to his country and the brotherhood he lovingly became a part of. "Can Do"

Post military service, Kurt became a plumber in Edmond and raised a family.  He went on to a successful career working for the City of Edmond Wastewater Department for over 30 years.  He successfully retired from there and went on to enjoy life.

Kurt enjoyed fishing, camping, classic war and western movies, spending time with friends, Seabee Swarms, motorcycles, classic cars and most importantly, family.

Kurt was an exceptional man, proud patriot, Navy veteran, friend, brother, dedicated son, uncle and father.

He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider making a donation to Folds of Honor in memory of Kurt.

Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma.
