Landon Wayne Willis, 37, died on August 23, 2021, to the heartbreak of so many whose lives he touched. Landon was born on January 23, 1984, to Kirk and Tamie Willis in Edmond, OK and was a life-long resident of Edmond. He was called to a life of service for others even in his youth and exemplified that as an young adult by joining the Marines and recently becoming an Oklahoma City police officer. In 2003, during his senior year at Memorial High School, he joined the Marines attending training while completing his last year of H.S. and graduated from boot camp in San Diego, Fall 2004. He went into the reserves and attended Oklahoma Christian University and later graduated from Southern Nazarene University. Landon was devoted to his children and family. He lived his life through the lens of his love and joy for his children. He loved doing simple things with his children such as, garage selling on Saturday mornings, watching Dude Perfect, playing board and video games and biking. Landon was accepted to the Oklahoma City Police Academy, graduating in December 2020. This was more than a profession, it was his vocation, and he was so honored to serve. He is survived by his four children Lexie, Luke, Logan, and Aleia; his parents Kirk and Tamie Willis; siblings Tiffany Dacus and Garrett Willis, brother-in-law Zack Dacus, and numerous extended family who all share in this sorrow.
