Larry S. Chambray

November 30, 1952 — November 30, 2024

It is with deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we remember and honor Larry S. Chambray, who was called home by the Lord on February 8 th , 2025. Larry's life was a beautiful testament to the grace of God and strength in faith. Although we will miss him dearly, we rejoice in knowing he is at peace with his Lord and Savior.

Larry was born on September 23 rd , 1953, in Oklahoma City, the son of Jessie C. Chambray and Emmer A. Chambray. Larry is survived by his siblings, Jessie Chambray Jr., and Helen Sterling, three children, Tracy Chambray, Terri Roland, and Samuel Chambray, and eight grandchildren, Camaron Chambray, Dejon Ackerson Jr., Tatyana Ackerson, Alis Roland, Soren Roland, Czar Roland, Isaiah Chambray, Latray Chambray, and Elijah Chambray.

Along with his parents, Larry was preceded by eight siblings: Emmer Butler, Winston Chambray, Shirley Logan, Mayola Jones, Anna Mathis, Jimmy Chambray, Beverly Chambray, and Johnny Chambray.

Larry was a hard-working father who devoted his life to raising his three children, while serving as a teacher in the children ministry and the bus ministry at Central Baptist church.

Outside of church, Larry had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing. He found peace and joy by the water, often sharing his love of fishing with family and friends. His stories of fishing trips, and the lessons learned along the way, will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of joining him.

A celebration of life service for Larry will be held on February 28 th , 2025, at 2 PM at Edmond Road Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. The service will be officiated by Pastor Chuck Munson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Edmond Road Baptist Church to aid in the youth and children's ministry.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:21
