Laura "Ruth" Hutcherson , 89, of Edmond, OK passed away September 6, 2014 in Edmond, OK. She was born on December 13, 1924 in Hobart, OK to Benton C. and Ollie Mae (Craig) Ledbetter. Ruth graduated summa cum laude at Central State College. She worked in elementary education before joining her husband in their homebuilding business. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf, as well as spending quality time with her family and friends. She is survived by sons, Dan & Steve; grandchildren, Deborah Hutcherson, Jennifer & husband Paul Langevin, Suzanne Myers & husband Jackson, and four great grand children. Services for Ruth will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
