Lavon Bayne New of Edmond, Oklahoma went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 15, 2013. Lavon was born on October 1, 1929. He was a graduate of Capital Hill High School, and he served in Korea from 1950-1952. He was an electrical contractor and cofounder of Dane Electric and State Electric. Lavon is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Connie Martin and husband, LeRoy, Bayne New and wife, Martha, and Beverly Cook and husband, Bob. He had nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Lavon was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlene, his granddaughter, Jennifer, and grandson, Michael.

Services will be Tuesday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond. Burial will be at Mustang Cemetery at 12:30
