Linda Lavonne Carson

Linda Lavonne (Fithian) Carson was born on August 9, 1944, to Olliver C. Fithian, Jr., and Mildred (Mitchell) Fithian in Anthony, Kansas. Linda passed away surrounded by love on October 10, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Linda was an avid supporter of Oklahoma State University (OSU) and the OSU Cowboys. She began her college education at OSU and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO).
Linda met the love of her life, Dr. Robert Carson, in 1992. Linda and Robert were married in 1994 and were married for 30 years. Linda worked as an Administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and retired in 2001.
Linda and Robert enjoyed traveling and during their years together saw most of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Additionally, they traveled to many foreign countries including Turkey, Greece, Italy, Belgium, and France. Linda was also a fan of Willie Nelson, who she named her dear Airedale Terrier, Willie, after.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and uncle Leonard Dean Biby and his wife Ida Fae Biby. Linda is survived by her loving husband Robert, as well as her stepson Dr. John Carson and his wife Kim. She is also survived by cousin Clifford Biby, his wife Debbie and their children, cousin Illa Moore and her son, and cousin Angela Nipper, her husband Dr. Wes Nipper, and their children.
Linda's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 17, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
