Loretta Jean Parks passed away on June 28th, 2024. She was born on September 10, 1925, at Hydro, Oklahoma to Herbert W. and Gladys M. Niehues. She graduated from Hydro High School and attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU). When she and her family moved to Edmond, she finished her Bachelor of Science at Central State College and her Master of Education at Central State University (now UCO). She retired from Macklanburg-Duncan Co. as an Employment Clerk. She was a member of First Christian Church in Edmond where she volunteered for many years and was also long-time volunteer at OU Med Center in Edmond. She loved reading, traveling, gardening, her computer and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert V. Hansen, her second husband Louis S. Parks, her parents Herbert and Gladys, her brother Eldon and sister-in-law Gerry Niehues, her sister Eileen and brother-in-law Vic Giles, and her son William K. Parks. She is survived by her daughter Sheri Parks, her daughter Meri Parks and son-in-law Dwight Stacy, her daughter Lori and son-in-law Jimmy Snyder, her grandchildren Karrie Swett Gates, Rachel Parks Winters and Lyndsay Parks, and her great grandsons Reece Gates and Samuel Winters.

Her funeral service will be held at First Christian Church in Edmond, OK on Monday, July 8th at 11:00am.
