Marisue Crawford Haigler, a former resident of Lenoir, NC,  passed away on March 16, 2022, in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born in Oklahoma City on February 13, 1936, to Helon and Joe Crawford. Her parents and older brother, Joe Crawford Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by a younger sister, Carole Keith.

Marisue graduated from John Marshall High School in 1954, She attended Central State College in Edmond, OK and graduated from Oklahoma City University. She married Ted G. Prince and is survived by three sons, Ted Prince II, Dr. Brian Prince, and Mike Prince as well as two grandsons and four granddaughters. These sons with their families were the pride and joy of her life.

Marisue retired from the Federal Aviation Agency after 31 years. The first 18 years were at the Aeronautical Center as a computer programmer, aviation analyst, and Chief of Airmen and Aircraft Registry. She transferred to the director of Aviation Safety Data in Washington DC and acted as an FAA representative in Congress. In 1988 she married Wayne Haigler and moved to Atlanta, GA, where she became Assistant Chief of the Southern Region of Airports, until retiring in 1992. After retiring she and Wayne moved to Lenoir, NC, where Marisue was a 20 year volunteer with hospice and the community gardens for the less fortunate. Marisue was very active in several committees and as a teacher in Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church in Lenoir.

In 2014 the couple retired to Edmond, OK to help care for Marisue's elderly mother.

A Celebration of Marisue's Life will be held at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
