Marjorie Ann Penn
1927 – 2015
Marjorie A. Penn, 88, widow of M. Glen "Buster" Penn, passed peacefully from this earth October 26, 2015, with her family at her side. Born in Kingfisher to the late Anna and James Morris, the family moved to Edmond at the start of the Depression. Marjorie graduated from Edmond High School and attended Central State College before her marriage to Buster in 1947. She was well known in downtown Edmond working 30 years with John W.Thomas Insurance and finishing her career with Howell-Stone Ins Co. She was active with both the Edmond Women's Club and Edmond Business and Professional Women Organization before becoming a dedicated Edmond High School Band Parent. Following retirement Marjorie and Buster traveled the country with their Airstream friends and were members of the Good Sam Club. She later became involved the "Hot Red Mommas" Chapter of the Edmond Red Hat Society. A trip to the casino was always a treat, especially when a country music concert was involved. She is survived by sons Jerry G Penn of Wichita, KS, and James R Penn of Houston TX; daughters Marsha (William) Parell of Lexington, KY and Nancy (Kelly) Selby of Denton TX; and grandchildren Andrea Penn, Laura (Chris) Ingram, William Parell, David Parell, Paul Parell, Emily Selby and Erin Selby. She was preceded in death by both brothers Earl and James Morris.
