Martha E. Nocker (Blume), age 86, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital after a courageous battle with heart disease.
Martha was born on August 7, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Edward Earl and Della Mae Blume. Martha grew up in Lytle, Texas, where she met her husband James C. Nocker, in High School. They shared 68 years of marriage, raised two children, James C. Jr. (Jay) and Cheryl Renee (Cheri), made homes in San Antonio, TX, Slidell, LA, N. Richland Hills, TX and Edmond, OK and even lived in Saudi Arabia for a period of time.
Martha, besides being a homemaker, worked outside the home in various professions: teacher, bookkeeper, housing locator and diet counselor. She was known for her warm smile, sharp wit, love of homemaking and found great joy in traveling, observing nature and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her spiritual faith was privately celebrated with family and close friends. Her marriage was central to her life, and she inspired everyone through her kindness, generosity, and the beautiful example she set of love, faith, and family values.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Della and all her siblings.
Martha is survived by her children: son Jay and wife Cathy of Houston, Texas; daughter Cheri and her husband Col. Patrick Youngson of Melbourne, Florida; grandchildren: Clayton Nocker of Houston, Lauren and her husband Connor Blanchard of Atlanta, Georgia and Kristina and fiancé Josh Walts of Melbourne, Florida.
The Family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Oklahoma Heart Hospital for Martha’s loving care and support in her final days.
