Marvin E. Blubaugh, 95, of Edmond, OK, was called home July 11, 2024. Marvin was born in Clyde, OK to Virgil E. and Mary L. (Cook) Blubaugh and was raised in Grant County where he worked on the family farm.

He graduated from Medford High School in 1947 where he ran track and played for the Medford Cardinals' state championship football team. After high school he attended Oklahoma A&M University. He was a life-long member of the OSU Posse Club and the ultimate OSU fan.

In 1950, he married Betty Joan Leiblie. They were married 43 years and raised 4 children together.

After attending OSU, Marvin pursued a career in the oil industry, and moved his family to different locations around the state. He worked for various drilling mud companies and ultimately retired as Executive Vice President.

Marvin was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and attending OSU sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers David and Paul Blubaugh and sisters Lorene Silks and Helen Sheppherd; first wife Betty Joan Leiblie, who passed away in 1993; and second wife Linda Jean Rich, who passed away in 2010.

He is survived by his daughter Marylyn Steffensen and husband Kris, of Guthrie; son Danny Blubaugh, of Edmond; daughter Barbara Weeks and husband Bill, of Guthrie; and daughter Linda Platt and husband James, of Edmond. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, his fiancée Sandie Wynham, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Life.Church, 2001 NW 178th St, Edmond, OK 73012.
