1929-2015

MH, 85 went to be with his Savior after peacefully passing away on April 26 th at the home of his daughter Scheery Renken-Goekler.

MH was born in Enid, OK and preceded in death by his parents Heinrich Johann Fredrick and Vera Lula Lowrey Renken and his granddaughter, Alicia Goekler. He is survived by his daughter Jeanie Gallman and husband David; son John Renken and wife Jeanne Ann; daughters Scheery Renken-Goekler; Patty Hurdle and husband John; his sister Arlene Ediger; brother Richard Bruce Renken and sisters Jeanette Shaw and Judy Allen. Grandchildren Ryan Goekler and wife Carol, John and Eli Hurdle; and Madison Renken; great grandsons Isaac, Canyon and Caden Goekler.

MH began his working career in the United States Navy serving aboard the U.S.S. Boxer CB 21 for several years and traveling to many countries located on the Pacific Rim. During the remainder of his life, MH was a hard working entrepreneur creating several successful businesses while raising his family and enjoying his favorite pastime of bowling during which he developed many long and faithful friendships.

MH will be remembered for his witty and winsome personality that was a joy to his family and friends – he never met a stranger. Our family wants to express a very special thanks to MH's devoted friend Duom Le.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Matthew Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond and a Celebration of MH's life will be Wednesday April 29, 2015.

The service will be at 10:00 am with a short viewing at 9:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3600 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City.
