Mary Patricia Hermes, 72, of Edmond, OK, passed away Wednesday, January 6th in Edmond, Oklahoma. Mary was born in Dallas, TX on July 4, 1943, to Gerald and Marian (Eileen) Minor.

Mary was an active member of the Westwood Church of Christ in Edmond, OK, where she helped lead a prison ministry. She loved to cook, craft and play games. She was a long-time resident of Scott City, KS before moving to Edmond in 2010 to be closer to her grandkids.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Hermes, and parents, Gerald and Eileen Minor.

Mary is survived by son John Hermes, his wife Mindy and their children Madilyn, Nathan and Jillian of Edmond, OK; son Don Hermes, his wife Deanna and their children Blake, Kaylin and Carson of Edmond, OK; daughter Tricia Lane, her husband Jason and their son Michael of Midwest City, OK; brother Gerald (Gary) Minor and his wife Gerri of Crystal River, FL.

Funeral services for Mary will be 10AM Monday, January 11, at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.
