Mary Jo Noon

On September 13, 2026, my kind, beautiful, sweet, loving mom left us to be with our Father.

My mom was my partner in crime. We were like sisters and I love her more than anyone in the whole world and I am devastated at her loss. She worked as a Grocery Checker for 35 years. She loved her customers. My mom was an avid reader, loved crime shows and movies from all over the world. She loved Baby Grogu and we enjoyed watching the Mandalorian series together. Mom loved Elvis and was lucky to see him live in concert. Mom loved plays! I saw my first play, “Annie”, as a little girl with mom. She thought it was funny that the crowd believed I was Annie and asked for my autograph.

My mom had an adventurous spirit and was a world traveler and visited several countries, from Mexico to Ireland to Egypt and more. She loved meeting our relatives in Ireland and Germany. Mom excelled at cooking and baking. She loved to learn about our ancestors. Each photo or article was a treasure that uncovered another wonderful detail about our past. She loved to do sudoku puzzles. She was so intelligent and knew so many interesting things. She had the best smile and laugh. She loved learning about other cultures and religions. She loved helping people and was so incredibly generous, not only with monetary or tangible gifts, but with her time and energy.

My mom was passionate about our country and always trying to fight for the underdog and the marginalized. She will be missed by so many people. I will miss my mom every day, but I know that she will watch over me. I take comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and is fully restored. Mom and I both appreciated every prayer said for her. We appreciate you all so much. Without prayer, we would not have had the strength to face what came. Please keep me and all that love mom in prayer as we navigate life without her. I love you momma with my whole heart. Forever. I know you will be waiting for me when we are reunited in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Dolores and Malcome William Noon, her brothers, John, Bill, and Andrew Noon. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Landis, many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as friends that became family and her daughter, Carrie Knightly.

In lieu of flowers, mom loved the following charities: St. Jude, World Central Kitchen, and The American Red Cross.
