Matthew Gregory Randolph
1998-2021
Matthew Gregory Randolph, 23 of Edmond, Oklahoma entered into Heaven on June 20, 2021 after a hard fought battle with addiction. Matt was born on March 20, 1998 in Edmond, Ok to Greg and Gerri Randolph. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in May of 2016.
Matt enjoyed fishing, playing golf, going to the lake, and watching House, Psych and My Name is Earl. Matt gave his heart to Christ when he was 11 years old and was baptized at Waterloo Road Baptist Church in Edmond, OK by his uncle, Kelly Randolph. Matt's Bible scripture was Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Matt was held captive by his addiction and maybe this verse may not seem to fit, but even in the most difficult moments and struggles, our God is in control and will bring us through it. Matt believed that God would answer his prayers and take away his pain and the demon that had control over him. While family and friends will miss him, God did answer his prayer and took away all of his struggles and pain. He now is at peace and is resting in the arms of his Savior.
Matt is survived by his parents Greg and Gerri Randolph of Edmond, OK, his brothers, Jonathon Randolph and Joshua Randolph, his grandmother, Diane Randolph, all of Edmond, and his dog, Bleu. He is also survived by his uncles, Keith Randolph of Edmond, Kelly Randolph of Wichita, KS, and Bryan Carlton of Piedmont, and their families, as well as a host of family friends. He was preceded in death by his Papa, Rhett Randolph of Edmond, and his Nana, Kay Carlton of Elmore City, OK.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Friday, June 25th at Matthews Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. The family will hold private services.
