May Arlene Drain, residing in Edmond, OK, entered her heavenly home on February 11, 2026, at 3 am to meet her Lord and Savior, at the age of 91, where she was united with her beloved husband Rev. Gene Drain.
May Arlene was born to the late Alfred Edward Williams and Sarah Ellen “Bryant” on February 3, 1935, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, as a twin making them the first set of twins in a large family.
Arlene married the love of her life Gene Drain in Pawnee, Oklahoma, March 2, 1956, where they started their journey of 66 years together building a family while ministering throughout Oklahoma building churches and congregations.
Arlene was head strong and hard-working, from farm life to building furniture at Keller Williams, to working in the school cafeteria, all while preforming preacher’s wife duties with preparing food for the sick or visiting in the hospital. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God.
Arlene loved fishing, working puzzles, spending time with family, and baking. From her cherry crème pie to the famous hot rolls, everyone has some story in their hearts that was based around her baking, whether you were lucky enough to set up at her kitchen cabinet to learn, or at a table to share, love was always within.
Arlene is survived by her son David Drain, Edmond, OK; Sister Lola Collins, Peggy Reddick, Janie Williams, and brother Tom Williams; Five grandchildren, Shelly Catalano, Edmond, OK, Cameron Drain, Edmond, OK, Brad Drain, Oklahoma City, OK, Kandy Wicker, Edmond, OK; Nine great-grandchildren; Five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Drain, her son Sam Drain, her granddaughter Sandy Landsberger, her sisters, Linda Shipley, Judy Walker, Charlene Kimmel, brother Bill Williams and parents Alfred and Sarah Ellen “Bryant” Williams.
Arlene’s passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more whose lives had the privilege to have been touched by her.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.
Services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Revive Church, 400 W Danforth Rd, Edmond, OK 73003. Interment is to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Masham Cemetery in Pawnee County, OK.
